In Victorian times, strict religious parents forbade their children such frivolous activities as playing with toys on Sunday. So what was Peter to do when his younger brother, Luke, kept playing with all sorts of toys on Sunday afternoon, getting both boys in trouble?
Lying in bed one night, Peter wishes that God would tell him the solution to the problem, and God does. “Make thee an ark…” Peter keeps hearing in his head. “Make thee an ark.” Ultimately Peter realizes that making an ark is the perfect answer, and his Sunday problem is solved.
